\nSt. Agnes School, Kharagpur collaborates with Kalki Art of Self Defence to Launch Holistic Self Defence module.<\/p>\n
St. Agnes School, Kharagpur organised a 3 Days’ Self Defence Master Class from 28th to 30th Aug in collaboration and association with India’s first and only holistic and reality based self defence training organization – Kalki Art of Self Defence, founded by one of the youngest Grand Master’s in the field of Martial Arts Grand Master Gaurav Singh Chauhan, also known as Grand Master Gaurav Human.<\/p>\n

During these 3 days’ magsterclass, students were trained in armed and unarmed combat drills to make their mind and body strong and alert.<\/p>\n

The Principal, Sister Maria Monica appreciated this initiative by Kalki Art of Self Defence and said that such trainings are highly necessary for the students especially for the safety of the girls. Our students turned out to be highly confident and enthusiastic at the end 3 days’ holistic self defense program.<\/p>\n
Founder and Chairman Grand Master Gaurav and Gen. Secretary of Kalki Mrs. Sanyogita Singh Chauhan told us that this safety module is accredited by Global Education and Training Institute (Finland) and International Self Defence Federation and Germany’s ICSSPE. This masterclass will help students to be mentally tough and physically strong and understand that their life is worth being protected and also that they need to be ready and self dependant in any adverse situation.<\/p>\n
Grand Master Gaurav also shared that this was the first time anything like this has happened in Kharagpur in any school where St. Agnes has become the first to collaborate with them to make this holistic safety module a part of their curriculum.<\/p>\n
Grand Master Gaurav said that he started this initiative of training women and children in self defence since Nirbhaya Rape case in December 2012 and since then there is no looking back.<\/p>\n
Vice Principal Sister Nilanjana and Teacher incharge Khushbo Raezada shared that they were amazed to see the level of confidence and high energy of all students during the whole masterclass.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
