Girls’ High School & College had the priviledge of welcoming Grand Master Gaurav Singh Chauhan for an empowering demo session on the Kalki Art of Self Defence. The Kalki is a unique martial art form that merges traditional fighting techniques with modern self-defence strategies, presenting a comprehensive approach to personal protection. Girls’ High School & College is the first institution in Prayagraj to introduce the art of self-defense to our girls for immediate response to dangerous situations. The school is immensely grateful to the Principal Rev. Dr. Mrs. V. Eusebius for organising this training session on self defence.
The excitement in the air was undeniable as our students eagerly immersed themselves in learning the Kalki Art. Through hands-on demonstrations, they discovered simple yet highly effective techniques to ensure their safety in any situation. Grand Master Chauhan made the session interactive and engaging, ensuring that every student, from beginners to those with prior experience, could grasp the key lessons.
However, the most powerful takeaway wasn’t just the self defence techniques. The students were introduced to the deeper principles of Kalki Art, which extend far beyond physical defence. Grand Master Chauhan eloquently explained how mastering self-awareness and self-discipline can significantly improve not just one’s ability to defend themselves but also their academic performance and overall approach to life.
Mrs. Sanyogita Singh Chauhan, wife of Grand Master Chauhan who is also the general secretary of the organisation and also the Team of Cadets was present to make the event a success.
The session was an eye-opener for many, as students listened intently, hanging on to every word of wisdom shared by the Grand Master. The energy in the room was infectious.
As the event came to a close, the entire school expressed it’s heartfelt gratitude to Grand Master Chauhan for dedicating his time and knowledge to inspire the next generation.
Grand Master Chauhan left us with a profound message: “Self defence isn’t just about preparing for external threats; it’s about cultivating the strength within to overcome any challenge, whether in the arena of combat or the trials of everyday life.”
